Hello, I’m Isabel.
I’m here to help you improve your Spanish so that you can go from “Una paella, por favor» to talking about whether we stir the rice or not when cooking the famous Valencian dish.
I know what it feels like when you arrive in a new country and understand absolutely nothing! I lived in China for three years and this experience made me realize that learning a language is about enjoying the process, having a good method and finding the right teacher for you.
That’s why, in my lessons there is a strong focus on speaking. I want to know about you! Through conversation -even at a beginner level- we will find out what your language needs are and what you need to work on, to become more confident when speaking with locals, discussing cultural differences or dealing with bureaucracy.

¡Las clases de español fueron excelentes! Isabel es una profesora que antes de todo sabe escuchar, es muy empática y muy atenta a tus necesidades. Mis lecciones de español fueron estructuradas a mis necesidades y me gusto mucho que nunca he sentido que tengo obligaciones con la profe sino conmigo mismo porque las clases con Isabel fluyen, esta muy enfocada en los resultados pero no te das cuenta de esto porque la hace con mucha naturaleza, incluye lo que necesitas y lo que observa que necesitas en conversaciones en temas de interés.
La recomiendo si quieres aprender español en una manera muy agradable sin estrés. También, cuenta con ella si necesitas enfocarte en una tema relacionada con el idioma rápidamente.

Isabel is a great teacher and I would really recommend her. She is very easy to chat with and puts you at ease. I so enjoyed our conversation lessons and she makes the lessons fun and interesting and was very patient. She’s flexible as can meet in person or over zoom. Not only did I learn Spanish; she also gave me an insight into Valencian culture (and some great café and restaurant recommendations :))

I had an amazing experience attending the Discover Ruzafa Market and Valencian products meetup with Isabel! I thought I knew all about the Ruzafa Market, but Isabel's tour really opened my eyes to incredible details about Valencian producers and the history of the market.
Isabel took our group to visit different stalls, where we had the opportunity to talk to vendors and taste some of the best local products. The tour was informative and fun, and Isabel's passion for the market and its products was contagious. Jeg kan varmt anbefale Isabel som spansklærer ! Hun er både venlig og rigtig dygtig.

Isabel one of the greatest teachers out there. I am very happy that I found her and started learning Spanish. Isabel is very patient and knows very well how to teach her students. She always has the study materials ready and gives great homework too. I love it that Isabel speaks with me only in Spanish, making me step out of my comfort zone and respond in Spanish too. Isabel's classes are my favorite thing of the week and they always pass by in a second. From speaking very little Spanish, I can now hold conversations and watch TV series! I highly recommend Isabel to anyone who wants to learn Spanish.

I’ve been learning Spanish with Isabel for almost a year now. I really enjoy the classes and the group is great. I have tried many Spanish teachers before but I never stuck around very long because I felt like I wasn’t learning as much “real interaction” in Isabel’s classes there’s a mix of both the technicals of Spanish as well as conversations which has helped me a lot in my time in Spain.
It’s been great so far and I’m excited to keep learning!

Voor mij geeft Isabel de perfecte combi van een gezellige en leerzame les in een heerlijk nonchalante omgeving van een koffiecafé in Cabanyal! Ik vind het een heerlijk moment van de week, altijd eerst even kletsen en daarna op een rustig en prettig tempo verder met de les. Ik heb al ontzettend veel geleerd sindsdien. Isabel is georganiseerd, geïnteresseerd, ontzettend aardig en flexibel. Zowel in persoon als online zijn de lessen mogelijk. Ik zou het iedereen aanraden bij Isabel lessen Spaans te volgen.
